Chilean teal

Anas flavirostris flavirostris (Vieillot)

Length: 38 – 41 cms.

Head and neck light brown with many fine black transverse lines. Mantle with black feathers riffed with cinnamon. Long black scapular ribbed with cinnamon. Crissums, undertail coverts and tail grey. Breast, light brown with reddish brown oval dark spots which disappear near the abdomen.
