Eugralla paradoxa (Kittlitz)

Length 15 – 16 cms.

On the surface the plumage is dark slate grey. Lower back and crissums reddish brown with a slight yellow tint. Back slate grey. Breast lighter than the back especially around the central parts. Abdomen, flanks and under tail coverts light red with a yellow tint toward the abdomen. Wings same color as back. Black beak, horny feet.
