Slender-billed parakeet

Enicognatus leptorhynchus (King)

Length 40 – 42 cms.

General color green to dark green. Crown with black transverse ribs. Reddish spot between the forehead and lorum. (area in front of the eyes). Bare ring around the eyes. Abdomen with not very noticible red spot. Primaries with bluish internal barbs. Tail dark red with green dots. Dark grey beak, thick with upper beak long and hooked. Pale pink feet.
